The Emanuel Ringers is an English Handbell choir. We have 4 groups at Emanuel. We ring a 5 octave set and 4 octave set of Schulmerich handbells and 4 octave set of Schulmerich chimes and 3 octave set of Malmark Chimes. Participation is from Grade 3 and up. We welcome anyone interested in joining, you need not be a member of Emanuel to participate. Music reading is a plus but not required. All groups play for church service throughout the year as well as have the opportunity to share our music ministry with others, whether locally or abroad. All those who participate bring their own gifts to share with each other to create beautiful music. If you are interested please contact, Eiko or Sandra.

** 14th International Handbell Symposium -- We arrived safely!! **

We are safely at Hayama. All are well except for the internet connection which foiled our well planned blog writing on iPad and then transfer on to the Blog. (no wireless connection... no Blog posting it turned out! ) We have the first blog write up ready and will up load as soon as the connection is established. The ERIs are our high school group. They rehearse for 2 hours each week. They play at the annual Riverside Festival held at Riverside Church every April. They also have the opportunity to participate in area festivals as well as International Festivals. These international festivals happen every two years and is held all over the world. This gives these young people to experience other countries and cultures while they share their common gift of music, playing handbells. They learn that they may not speak the same language but can work together through music.

The ERIIs are our middle school group. They participate in the annual Hudson Valley Handbell Festival Conference held at Nyack College. This festival is held every April and gathers ringers of all ages from the area to ring under one guest conductor. This group rehearses for about an hour and a half each week.

The ERIII's is our youngest group of 3rd to 5th graders. They meet once a week for 45 minutes. They learn the basics of caring and ringing handbells. They ring at Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Mother's Day and our Annual concert in June when all of our choirs ring together.

The AERs meet once a week for one and a half hours. We have ringers who have rang from 1 year to 30 years. This group plays a few times a year in church and also participates in the Hudson Valley Handbell Festival Conference along with the ERIIs.
